Bishop Dr. Roy L. Foots
Sr. Pastor
Bishop Dr. Roy L. Foots was born in Littleton, North Carolina, the son of the late Louise and Thomas Foots. At a young age Bishop dedicated his life to serving God and upholding God’s desires in his life. After graduating from Miller University’s School of Theology in Montclair, New Jersey; Bishop has held up the blood stain banner for Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ without hesitation.
Bishop is married to his childhood sweetheart and the love of his life First Lady Laura C. Foots. God has blessed them with three lovely daughters and nine grandchildren.
While residing in New York, he was very active in his local community by serving 20 years with the New York City Department of Correction. After relocating to Virginia, he became the Pastor of Baptist Union Baptist Church in Dillwyn, Virginia where he served for seven years.
In 1999, under the diving inspiration of the Holy Spirit, he is currently the founder/visionary of the New Direction Evangelistic Church. Under Bishop Foots guidance and leadership the church has increased tremendously in membership and ministries.
The dynamic impact of this church is felt through weekly television broadcast, evangelism, and outreach ministries throughout the community.
First Lady Laura C. Foots

First Lady Laura C. Foots grew up in Littleton, North Carolina. At a young age she became active in the ministry as a Sunday School teacher and participated in various youth ministries. First Lady Laura C. Foots married her childhood sweetheart, Bishop Dr. Roy L. Foots.
First Lady Laura C. Foots has over 20 years of leadership experience with the IBM Corporation where she held many management level positions on a local, regional, and national level. During her tenure she has received numerous awards and certificates for her accomplishments.
In serving the community First Lady Laura C. Foots has worked with the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation and served as the Minority Business Development Manager for the Commonwealth of Virginia. She also has served on several committees in the community such as the CHOATE Foundation, Unified Community Family Life Center, and Chairperson for the Central VA Food Bank's Advisory council, and the United Way of Richmond.
First Lady Laura C. Foots is the founder and owner of the New Direction Childcare Center. She believes in making a difference in every child's life. The philosophy of the center is to "provide children with a safe, secure, and loving environment with lots of learning opportunities." We believe children are life's most valuable resource. They are our future. We believe that strengthening a child's foundation will yield a strong and secure adult.
